Some years back, i went to see a friend and we both decided to visit a restaurant because we were hungry. my friend made an order for food and ask the waiter to decorate the food with different types and part of meat. I was astonished when i saw my plate of food loaded with different assorted meat.

While we were eating a very old man who has finished earlier and was watching us eat, walked up to our table and he said “young men please don’t  eat your future today” and he left. The word struck us like a lightning.

We tend to enjoy today in the expense of tomorrow, wasting precious time we can never get back, money, ideas, dreams are so on. we fail to plan or save for our tomorrow. Benjamin Franklin once said, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.”Just like the prodigal son in the bible, who took all his inheritance and squander it all, the result for the waste was suffering and poverty. “You don’t expect to eat your seed and expect harvest”

You want to be a doctor but fail to study, you have a beautiful dream of living a happy and successful live but failed to plan and save for today.

All hope is not lost if you have been eating your future, there is still an opportunity today for you to have a wonderful future. All you need is a plan for tomorrow because tomorrow beauty depends on today’s plan.

A Chinese  Proverb says “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
