Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished. Victor kiam said “procrastination is opportunity’s assassin”

Procrastination has made us pay more, miss great opportunities, loose things we love and cherish most, leave us depressed. Most of us, like the fire brigade approach always wait until the last minute before doing things we should have done long time ago.

Time is precious and time they say waits for nobody, while we keep pushing our stuff for tomorrow which never seems to come, that time can never be recovered and that opportunity might be lost forever.

There is this story of young, rich lady whose little baby had symptoms of fever for 2 weeks and the lady kept pushing her medical appointment date scheduled for her baby and the  baby kept crying all through the nights, until one night her baby gave up the ghost before the morning.

Procrastination can kill, it can rob you of your joy, it can make you lose that beautiful idea or plan. It can make you fail in your job or exams and more.

HOW DO WE OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION?

  • Knowing you have a problem is a one step to solving the problem
  • Set priorities and discipline yourself to the priorities set
  • Picture the final outcome of that project or job
  • Do something rather than daydream
  • Set a realistic goal and break task into small segments
  • Finally pray for God’s help

Procrastination is the thief of time, don’t let it steal your joy, your dream. Remember, time is the one resources that can never be replaced. Use it wisely

Have a nice day
